Slutty Vegan to Launch Vegan Bacon Strips; Could Be At Your Nearest Grocery Store Soon
Pinky Cole launched the restaurant with a mission to make quality plant-based options accessible to communities who are otherwise deprived of such options. For those who don’t know, and are wondering what’s on the Slutty Vegan menu, we’ll explain. The restaurant serves irresistible plant-based foods using the burger patty by Impossible Foods and using Beyond Meat among various other options (here’s the whole list). For instance, the company’s ‘Super Slut’ is a burger featuring the Impossible Burger patty with guacamole, caramelized onions, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños and their proprietary ‘slutty sauce’ sandwiched between vegan Hawaiian buns. The cost for this amazing burger is $15. You can also have other ‘slutty’ burgers like ‘Sloppy Toppy’ and ‘One Night Stand.’
Whichever option you choose, rest assured it will be #SLUTTIFIED. Slutty Vegan hosts many pop-ups and often sells out. Their latest pop-up in Hyde Park area of Los Angeles sold out in hours.
About their new upcoming launch? Vegans can rejoice about their planned unveiling of plant-based bacon strips. On an Instagram post, the company teased the launch with a caption- “coming to a grocery aisle near you” (followed by a hug, burger and kiss emoji). In the teaser, the product could be seen packed in a sexy black package, and states the bacon strips are non-GMO, low in sodium and sans preservatives alongside being 100% animal-free.
Pork is easily the most widely consumed meat in the world. You will be shocked to know, pork dominates 36% of the world’s meat consumption. Also, it goes without saying, health risks the pig-derived meat pose to humans, and contributions to the planet’s ailments, are tenfold. Plant-based bacon is one solution to this problem. There is already a host of great plant-based bacon alternatives available on the market. For instance, try the Tofurky Smoky Maple Bacon Marinade Tempeh or go for the Sweet Earth Hickory & Sage Smoked Seitan Bacon. Both are irresistible when it comes to taste and flavors. In the same way, you can opt for Lightlife Smart Bacon. As you can see, there are many options to help you ditch unhealthy meat-based bacon.
